Musician, Music Producer, Recording Engineer, Music Director, Arranger, Singer, and Songwriter

Darnell Crandle is one of the best church musicians in town, around town, and out of town. He has the ability to capture individuals with his music and bring them to higher levels of joy, peace and spiritual renewal. People are not only blessed by his music, but also by his voice, as well as his songwriting. He is inspiring to many other musicians, whereas they find it “honorable” to be under his leadership and share musical abilities.

Darnell is the Minister of Music at Bible-Based Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace and Church Musician of Mt. Calvary SDA Church. Church is the foundation of his life. He draws his strength from the word of God, the ministry of music and his family. As a husband, and father of five, spending quality time with his family is important.

Darnell loves a good laugh, and though friends and acquaintances are many, he remains humble.

Darnell’s love for music became evident at a very early age. At the age of seven, after listening to songs he liked on either TV or the radio, he would sit at the piano, proceed to pick out chords and ultimately play the song, ‘by ear,’ without the use of reading music. By the age of 14, Darnell was playing and singing in churches throughout the New York area. He constantly sought ways to increase his knowledge in music and this led to reading music, playing other instruments, songwriting, directing, and producing music.

Darnell, originally from New York, is a professional musician, producer and recording engineer, with over thirty years of experience. Many Children/Youth Choirs, Ensembles, Gospel Choruses, Male Choruses, Senior Choirs, and Praise and Worship Teams were taught, rehearsed, and ministered under his leadership. As a musical director, he wrote for, recorded, and played for many musical play productions, skits and concerts. He served as a musician for concerts for major recording artists, inclusive of Melba Moore, and actress and singer, Loretta Devine (movie, "Waiting To Exhale"), as well as other R&B, Jazz and Gospel recording artists. As a recording engineer, he produced and recorded for many, in various genres of music.
